Athletics for Higher Education
I.S.P.S. Warriors' Basketball Program

Overview and Brief History

Athletics for Higher Education created the I.S.P.S. Warriors basketball team as one outlet to showcase the talents of our athletes to the U.S. Colleges and Universities.

This development program consists of two age groups, 8-14 and 15-20 years old. The major purpose of the program is to develop the student's level of basketball.
An essential part of our program is to promote academic excellence. Consequently, all seniors are required to take the Scolarship Aptitude Test (SAT) in order to participate in this program.

Since 2001our team has been participating in the "Hoop Group" Metro Classic Tournament at Drew University, and Fairleigh Dickson University in New Jersey, USA.
The Metro classic is a regional high school tournament that host secondary school students throughout the eastern region of the United States. It offers the athlete great exposure and an opportunity to be seen by collegiate scouts seeking potential scholarship recruits. This is a unique opportunity for all who attend the tournament.
Since our initial participation in the tournament in 2001, we have been able to secure five scholarship packages:
2006   Ajuma Jaramogi received a four (4) year scholarship to Tyler College in Texas.
2006   Antony Yallery received a scholarship to Erasmus High School in Brooklyn, New York.
2005   Kereecie Duke received a scholarship to Canarsic High School.
2004   Donny Lyons received a two (2) year Scholarship to Brooklyn Academy.
2003   Makandal Dagga (C.I.C.) received a 75% scholarship to Lindenwood University in Missouri.
2002   Jason Sharp (Fatima) received a scholarship package from North Florida University.
2002   Shermam Diaz (Diego Martin Sec) received a scholarship package from North Florida as well.
2001   Kibwe Trim (C.I.C.) received a full scholarship to Sacared Heart University.
